More About Me (2020)

My background in college and in the real world involves technology wherever applicable. I hope to work in the technical world and work my way up into product management or project management. Whether that may be in the software or hardware industry, or something along the line of data science and analytics, I look forward to the many opportunities that one of these brings forward. Especially today, I am continuing in teaching myself software development, machine learning, database development, and artificial intelligence in this world of big data. I also have a mastered knowledge in data structures, algorithms, linear algebra, and probability theory.

In addition, I hope to gain more work experience even as I pursue and attempt to achieve my goals of attending graduate school, preferably in business administration, data science, or statistics. I value communication and leadership highly as I have begun my job search and preparation for my future.

My work experience involves customer experience in both the information technology and in the food wholesaler industries. I’m grateful to have also interned as a project manager to develop a proof-of-concept in an inventory management database system. Even if it takes multiple drafts of code or flow charts, or different methods of troubleshooting a problem with installing software or resetting a password, the most important thing to keep in mind is communication and finding a solution to get that question answered. I’ve tutored middle school and high school students, and I stand as part of my ITS team on the front line in assisting in a smooth transition for college students and faculty using Zoom during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

I am always reading up on new technology, notably on the hardware and operating systems ends. Ideally, it would be about Unix and Linux, but I do follow up on Windows machines as well.

I hope to post more about what I’ve done as well as my interests, which include sports like basketball, football, baseball, fantasy teams, and odds and over/under money lines. Statistics are an important concept in why people would gamble, but it shouldn’t be the main focus on winning championships if contact sports play defense. I am somewhat a trivia junkie having watched Jeopardy! for so many years.

Hoping for the best for the remainder of this year and towards the future!
